About Mountain Spirit ReStore
About
the Habitat ReStore
Working in partnership with Mountain Spirit Habitat For
Humanity of Park County, the Mountain Spirit Habitat ReStore sells donated
building materials, household items, appliances, and home furnishing and decor
to the general public for up to 70% off retail price. Sales from the Habitat
ReStore provide funding to build Habitat for Humanity homes in Park County.
The Habitat ReStore is located under the West Water Tower in Powell at 509
Gateway Drive.
Our goals are to:
* Support Mountain Spirit Habitat for Humanity Park County's home building
program
* Keep valuable materials out of local area landfills
* Provide the community with a source of low cost building materials
* Provide an opportunity to volunteer at the Habitat ReStore
How the ReStore Works:
The Habitat ReStore accepts donations of new and saleable, used building
materials such as cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, doors, lumber,
flooring, and windows. Most of these donations will be sold to the public at up
to 70% off the retail price. There are more than 500 Habitat ReStores in the
U.S and Canada.
The Habitat ReStore:
- Makes home improvements more
affordable.
- Helps Habitat build more
homes.
- Prevents usable building
materials from going to a landfill. The Habitat ReStore has kept close to 47-
tons of building materials out of Park County's landfills.
How
you can help:
The Habitat ReStore is an ambitious project, and we need the help of a lot of
people in many different ways to make it successful. You can help by
volunteering, donating good used building materials, or simply by shopping at
the Habitat ReStore. All donations to the Habitat ReStore are tax deductible.
